Diary Poetry FAQs

What makes this poetry collection different from others?

Danielle Emily’s Songbird: My Psalms blends the intimacy of diary poetry with themes of faith, healing, and mental health. Each poem offers a unique combination of raw emotion and spiritual insight, making it deeply relatable and impactful.

Who is this book for?

This book is for anyone who has faced challenges, whether it’s grief, mental health struggles, or a longing for personal growth. While millennials may find the tone especially relatable, the universal themes of healing and resilience make it a perfect read for all ages.

Do I need to be religious to connect with the poems?

While readers don't have to be religious to enjoy this book, it would be
much better if they were at least actively seeking Christ first so that
they can understand the references within. However, the Lord works in
mysterious ways to convict and comfort His children, and stumbling upon
this niche may be what some readers need, regardless of their beliefs.
Revelation 3:15-16 says that the Lord prefers one to be either hot or
cold. I see the cold as sinners and blatant atheists He can give a
chance to, and the hot as true believers who know that it's a
relationship rather than a religion and who know the importance of His
Namesake and keeping His Word, actively living it out by pursuing
righteousness and keeping His feast days, etc.
